Originally thought to be invented in 1802 by Humphry Davy but was not really working out or being sold until 1880 when Thomas Edison found an efficient fillament for the light bulb. In which he can start mass production and having them out to the public using what he became known for DC or Direct current. Which he felt was superior to Tesla's AC or Alternating current
