8h 20min, oct 24, 1929 y - Stock Market Crash

Description:

The Stock Market Crash of 1929 is the most devastating stock market crash in US history. It began on October 24th, known as Black Thursday, in which over 12 million shares were traded. The US Stock Market peaked in August of 1929, but things like a rise in unemployment, struggling agriculture, and a huge increase in debt due to credit spending created the conditions for the crash. On October 29th, known as Black Tuesday, stock prices collapsed and over 16 million shares in the New York Stock Exchange were traded in a single day. The Stock Market Crash wiped out thousands of investors and billions of dollars were lost, making it a main cause of the Great Depression.
