Stevie Wonder was honoured on this Hall of Fame night. Not only was he inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame but in the Songwriters Hall of Fame as well. Paul Simon mentioned, "Can anyone imagine what the last 25 years of American popular music would be without Stevie Wonder?" and added, "He is the composer of his generation."
