0h 54min, feb 25, 1829 y - Jackson Presidency

Description:

Born into poverty, Jackson then became wealthy lawyer and politician from Tennessee. With his leadership when conflict between the US and Britain broke out, Jackson became a national war hero and would be named the most influential and polarizing political figures during his presidency. John Quincy Adams defeated Jackson in the 1824 election, allowing Jackson to seek revenge and come back in 1829 and defeat Adams becoming the seventh President of the United States. As political parties developed Jackson became the leader of the Democratic party and supported slavery extension into western territories and states’ rights. However during his Presidency he signed the Indian Removal act, causing the Trail of Tears and unnecessary and undeserved harm to the Native Americans.
