Description:
During the lunch break, Luna and the defense worked out plea deals. Smith would receive 10 years instead of 30 years. Poindexter would receive 15 years instead of the possibility of the death penalty, but Luna had to drop the murder charge too. Luna was legally required to pursue the murder charge, but insisted he could get the plea to go through. The judge instructed Luna to get the plea deals in writing by the next morning.
