Description:
1. People believed that the War would only last for a couple a weeks and they were all very excited about it and were ready to fight for their country
2. Germany's army was going on based on the Schlieffen plan which consisted of them going through Belgium in order to get to France
3.The alliances that they had created were still working except that Italy broke their alliance with the Germans and Austrians and joined the Allied side which made it a little harder for germany and Austria since they had one more country going against them
