Gondul retrieves an orb that will aid in the search for Sai Sahan

While on duty, scouting enemy territory for the Ebonheart Pact in Cyrodiil, Gondul received word from the Prophet that he needed his aid.
Finish his duties as a soldier, Gondul rode for the Harborage and spoke with the old man. He explained to Gondul that there was a Necromancer in Davon's Watch, supposedly the hand of Mannimarco. Gondul was to question the denizens of Davon's Watch if they had seen any strange people recently.
He proceeded to do just that, eventually reaching an Argonian by the name of Okeeh, who gave him the information he needed.
Following the man's directions, Gondul found himself in an abandoned cave ruin. After a brush with resurrected skeletons, he encountered an Altmer man — quickly revealing himself as the Necromancer he was sent to kill.
Combat ensued, and Gondul fought the formidable Mage — soon after realizing he was also a vampire — eventually slaying him. He happened upon a journal lying on a wooden bench nearby.
The contents of the journal mentioned Abnur Tharn, the Imperial Chancellor, by name, and the interactions the Necromancer had with him. They came to a mutually beneficial deal, where the Necromancer would work with Tharn in return for the continuous use of the cavern Gondul found himself in, as well as a continuous supply of food and black soul gems.
Not far from where the journal was recovered sat a strange orb on a pedestal, which Gondul retrieved and placed in his satchel.
Immediately after this, an apparition of Abnur Tharn appeared. Gondul questioned him, axe drawn. The two conversed, Abnur flat out telling Gondul that he would not so easily give up Sai Sahan's location. He then explained that, even if he did, mounting a rescue mission for him would be suicide.
Before Gondul could ask the Chancellor anymore questions, the appirition vanished.
He returned to the Harborage and gave the orb to the Prophet, who in return explained that it would take several days to use the item to locate Sai Sahan.
Gondul then spoke with Lyris about what had transpired with Rowena and Gudrune days ago before leaving.
