jan 1, 63 BC - Roman
Israel
Description:
From 100 BCE, the shrunken Seleucid Empire was used by neighboring nations as a buffer between each other. It was then, in 63 BCE, that the Romans saw them as too troublesome and made Syria and Judea (Israel) into Roman Provinces, ending the last of the Greek empires.
