The early Celtic people thrived throughout the Iberian Peninsula, Britain, and Ireland. Little is known of family structure among the Celts, but pockets of non-urbanized societies settled in structures such as hill forts. Later on, some managed to develop small towns ruled by a king, who more often that not, gained power by being the individual with the most food
