Description:

In mid-June of 1776, John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, Robert R. Livingston, and Roger Sherman were tasked to draft a declaration. This 5-man committee presented the draft to Congress on June 28th, 1776. On July 4th, 1776, the Declaration of Independence, written mostly by Thomas Jefferson, was passed by Congress. The Declaration of Independence states the reasons why the British colonies of North America sought independence. One of the most famous lines of the Declaration of Independence is “all men are created equal”, which means that each person born has a right to pursue everything and anything in this world as much as the next person.
