Dainsleif Kvaeld-Ulf is born in the Reach of Skyrim. On his name-day, a rival house sent an old crone to curse him with the inability to never enter the halls of Sovngarde upon his death.
The curse was successful, and Dainsleif would not be free of it until 2E 582, when a Nord named Torolf Iron-Side and a Dunmer named Vethil of House Telvanni helped him fulfill a ritual that freed him of its effects.
