The morning after the recruitment of the three new Brotherband men, Gondul followed the direction of Thane Mera Stormcloak by riding out to consult with Captain Hamar.

He was somewhat flustered that it had taken so long for Gondul's arrival, but nevertheless grateful.

He explained that a Pact Lieutenant named Karuni was planning to sneak into the central barracks of the fort, and that if Gondul could help to liberate the soldiers who were captured during the initial battle, it would offer the Lieutenant crucial reinforcements when she attempted to retake the barracks.

Gondul proceeded to sneak past the Stormfist soldiers and free the captive Morvunskar forces, reporting to Lieutenant Korani immediately afterwards.

She directed him to deal with the Stormfist Commander Halskar, and to capture his written orders. Gondul swiftly launched his assault on the fort, making his way past the many Stormfist soldiers within.

Upon killing Commander Halskar, Gondul discovered a strongbox lying on a desk nearby. When he opened it, an apparition of Queen Nurnhilde.

She proclaimed to be from Sovngarde, carrying an important message. She explains that the strongbox was carrying ancient relics that were stolen from the royal tombs beneath Fort Morvunskar.

She asked Gondul to return the relics to the tombs, to which he promptly did.

Upon speaking with Lieutenant Korani, Gondul gives her the captured orders, which revealed that the Stormfists were truly after what lied in the tombs beneath the fort.

When Gondul returned all of the relics to the tomb, the apparition of Queen Nurnhilde appeared once more, distraught. She explained that the Crown of Freydis was missing from her burial place, proclaiming that the only person capable of doing this would have been royal blood — her brother Fildgor.

She asked Gondul to stop Fildgor, to which Gondul agreed. He exited the fortress and overheard Fildgor commanding his men. Gondul was set upon by an Orc named Shukul gro-Agluk along with several Stormfist men. After a brief fight, Gondul kills them, returning to the recaptured fort to speak with Captain Hamar, who thanked him for his help.

Lieutenant Koruni gives Gondul a dispatch to take to Fort Amol. Gondul took it and proceeded forward.
