Despite not being eager to join any of the Alliances that had arisen in the face of War, Gondul could not deny that the logic of Vignar and the Prophet was sound.
To fight purely under the banner of a minuscule Atmoran Brotherband would be suicide in a war of three massive Factions. He needed to work within one of them in order to have any hope of achieving what the Brotherband set out to accomplish.
With this in mind, Gondul voluntarily enlisted in the Ebonheart Pact Military, where he rode south into the Jerall Mountains and studied the geography and architecture for his future endeavors.
The Brotherband had unanimously agreed to march south to the Imperial City together in the near future, though their numbers had to grow before this could even be nearly plausible.
As a footsoldier, Gondul ran errands for some of the Captains and Lieutenants, as well as fought in a few minor skirmishes near the southern Skyrim border against small Dominion and Covenant scouting parties.
At some point during his deployment, Gondul stumbled upon a Chapel of the Ancestor Moth. It emotionally struck him as it reminded him of home, a home that for all he knew was no longer accessible. He took a brief moment to attempt to pray to the 'Eight Divines,' the Imperial version of his faith, and continued on his way.
