1990: David Segui, IB, b. 1966. Played from 1990-2004. Segui spent 15 years in the majors with seven teams and hit 139 home runs with 684 RBI’s and a career .291 average. In 2000, he batted .334 with 103 RBI’s for the Cleveland Indians and Texas Rangers. He graduated from Bishop Ward High School and played at Kansas City Kansas Community College before being selected by the Orioles in the 18th round of 1987 draft. He played for Louisiana Tech after attending KCKCC. His father, Diego, was one of the greatest Hispanic pitchers of all time. Diego had immigrated from Cuba after being signed to a professional contract by the Cincinnati Reds in 1958 just prior to the Cuban Revolution.
