Eugene Johnson returns to Nairobi with BSL 4 equipment and a research team. Research mission extensively tests the animals and surroundings of Kitum Cave for signs of Marburg and proves unsuccessful. Eugene Johnson returns to the United States and stashes all of the BSL 4 gear at USAMRIID.
