Anne Marie Greene, M.D., who matriculated in 1908, was the first female doctor to serve in Wyandotte County as a physician at the age of 33. She lived on 515 Division Street and worked as a doctor in KCK from 1910-1914. She was appointed Assistant Physician at the Kansas State Agricultural School in 1914 where lectured about sexual problems and the morality of sex which led to considerable controversy due to her popularity with the students but not the administration. In 1918 she returned to practice obstetrics at 814 Quindaro where she practiced until 1931 (Hulston, Nancy “Dr. Anne Greene”, Wyandotte County Journal of History, V. III. P. 396.)
