Description:
The first-ever college basketball with 5 players on each team was played on January 18, 1896. This game was between the University of Iowa and the University of Chicago. The University of Chicago ended up on top, winning 15-12. This leads to more organized basketball in North America and professional leagues of basketball. This would influence the creation of the NBA, the most successful organized basketball league.
