February of 2014 is known as the time of the Ebola outbreak.
Ebola is very infectious, this is because even a small amount of it can cause someone to be ill.
The outbreak started in West Africa and is known to be the worst outbreak of this virus in history. The most affected countries were Guinea, Sierra Leone, and Liberia.
In the United States, there were a total of 11 cases of Ebola.
Nine of these cases were people who had gotten the virus outside of the U.S. Two of the nine had died.
The other cases were ones that had caught the virus in the United States. They were nurses who had treated a patient who had Ebola.
