Description:

A callous indifference seemed to attach itself to the concept of Urban Renewal. A conviction that destruction must proceed renovation as a matter of routine. The community of Quindaro was literally cut in half leaving family and community relationships in tatters. The community still reels from this 'renewal' today. The Juniper settlement was all but destroyed and portions of Rattlebone Hollow were turned into a terraced green space. The Third Ward and Hogg Town also lost large numbers of houses.
