Description:
On 1 December 1955, Montgomery Alabama, Rosa Parks was on her way home and sitting on the bus in the coloured section of the segregated bus
The bus filled up and one white man didn’t have a seat
The driver told the black people in her row to stand up so the white man could sit down
The whole row had to stand as mixed races were not allowed but Rosa was the only one who refused
The driver stopped the bus, called the police and arrested Rosa Parks
