oct 23, 2019 - TWP reports that the US Trump
admin. attempted to cut FY2019
funding to the International
Narcotics Control and Law
Enforcement program (aimed, in
part, at fighting overseas corruption)
& to cut other such funding by
streamlining overseas democracy
assistance & foreign aid accounts
into an umbrella program called
the Economic Support and
Development Fund; Congress
rejected the cuts (which would've
amounted to $27M & $55M cuts
to Ukraine), but the Trump admin.
has requested the same cuts for
FY2020
Description:
CONTEXT{These were both "across-the-board" cuts that would've affected foreign aid to other countries in addition to Ukraine}
