Edgar Allan Poe was an American poet, novellist, editor and litteraturecritic that lived between the years 1809 and 1849. He started of serving the military in 1827 and getting paid 5$ a month. The same year he published his first book "Tamerlane and Other Poems" with only "A Bostonian" specified as author. After 5 years serving the military he was moved back Baltimore with his cousin where he was born and started focusing more on his writing career.
