The world that was once a barren wasteland, is now occupied with several small colonies and tribes. The world was once again beginning to feel civilized. Although there were many raider and marauder groups roaming the wastelands, most survivors decided to band together forming these new colonies. But inevitably with the expansion of territory, and limited resources to be found, there was war.
One such colony was called Arcadia. This was the largest and most successful colony by the year 2073. Arcadia was lead by a group of individuals who believed power and might is the only way to survive in this new world. Eventually the Arcadian people discovered a nearby colony calling themselves the Nuclear Nation. The people of the Nuclear Nation did not trade, or work with any outside people or colonies. Arcadia saw this as an act of war and in the year 2075, declared war on the Nuclear Nation colony.
Arcadia sent hundreds of soldiers, almost half of their entire army to war. However, they were not aware of the Nuclear Nations technological superiority. The Nuclear Nation had been developing a defense system utilizing their new breakthroughs in laser and plasma technology. Massive cannons mounted to the walls, and the walls themselves reinforced with a shield of pure energy. The Arcadian attack failed, they lost almost every soldier they sent, without Nuclear Nation even putting a soldier on the ground. Arcadia quickly learned that a foot war was useless, and started developing their own super weapon. Eventually creating a new bio-weapon set to infect and quickly kill anybody exposed.
Arcadia was in such a rush to make this serum, their scientists overlooked several safety infractions. There was an explosion in the lab, infecting everyone in the lab. The serum was not fully developed, but proceeded to do its job of killing the infected hosts. After dying the subjects started reanimating. The infection quickly spread to the rest of colony almost overnight. The corpses of the Arcadian people now roam inside the walls of the Arcadia colony, killing an infecting any living person they can find. The only group large enough, or advanced enough to stop this outbreak from spreading to the rest of the wasteland, was the Nuclear Nation.
A survivor from Arcadia approached the Nuclear Nation begging for their help. The Nuclear Nation did not work or help outside colonies, and was in no rush to help the colony that just declared war on their people. However, they understood how intense of a threat this was to the rest of the wasteland. The Nuclear Nation sent out a team of individuals equip with new prototype mech suits. And weapons unlike the current world has ever seen. The commander of this group named himself The Plague Doctor. Their group proceed to clear the entire Arcadian colony of these creatures. The few survivors that remained swore their allegiance to the Nuclear Nation and started rebuilding the colony as "New Arcadia" with assistance from the Nuclear Nation people. After order was re-established the Nuclear Nation people went back to their colony, returning to their reclusive lifestyle. Arcadia still remains the largest colony in the wasteland.
