Dr. Jack Flint became the fourth dean of KCK Junior College in 1965 and the first elected President of KCKCC by the Board of Trustees in 1966. His doctorate was from the University of Missouri at Columbia. He was President of Highland Community College before coming to KCKCC. Dr. Flint served as President of the Kansas Association of Community Colleges and was a major influence in the historical development of community colleges in Kansas. Flint oversaw the transition from the campus on 824 State Avenue to a new campus on 74th and State Avenue in 1972.
