Frank Schlagle was Superintendent of the KCK School District from 1932 to 1962. He was a highly influential educator who, with Dean Wellemeyer, oversaw much progress at the college. Schlagle graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1906 when he was 16 years of age. His B.S. was from Kansas State Teachers College in Emporia in 1916. After serving in the Navy in World War I he obtained his M.A. from Columbia University in New York City in 1923.
