Description:
On this date, U.S. President Roosevelt signed the Lend-Lease bill into a law. It allowed him to "sell, transfer title to, exchange, lease, lend, or otherwise dispose of, to any such government [whose defense the President deems vital to the defense of the United States] any defense article." The Lend-Lease act caused the already not so good relationship the United States had with Japan into an even worse relationship between the two. The U.S. cut off supplis of natural resources to Japan which resulted in Japan becoming ferious and ultimatly resulted in the Japanese's plam to attck Pearl Harbor.
