Description:
Three members of the militia group, "Minutemen American Defense" (MAD) broke into the Flores residence intending to rob the home to fund the militia.
The leader of MAD had founded the militia as a splinter group to the Minutemen Civil Defense Corps after being expelled from the group in 2007.
One member of the militia had ties to the Aryan Nation and was suspected of a 1997 killing of a fellow Aryan Nation member for being a perceived 'race traitor.'
The final member of the group was believed to have provided intelligence about targeting the home that the Flores family lived in.
