Description:
The Boston Tea Party happened on the night of December 16, 1773, where a group of colonists masked as Native Americans led by Samuel Adams boarded a British ship full of tea and dumped it into the Boston Harbor. This was a reaction to the Tea Act which was made to tax and control the colonists’ tea market. This event sparked rage in Britain and made them pass a bunch of acts to punish the colonies. It also helped the colonies go to revolution as it showed them that they still had power.
