jan 1, 1980 - Era of Ronald Reagan, Margaret Thatcher, and Helmut Kol begins
Description:
When these three political figures came into power it represented the symbolic end to all things radical. They called for "law and order," and had no interest in collectivity. Rather they privatized much of the economy, making it difficult for non-profit and public sector endeavors to thrive. Their social politics were extremely conservative, oppressive, and exclusive. It created the exact opposite environment for change than the one that was ripe in the long 1960s.
