dec 31, 30 BC - Octavian sent a fleet to attack Antony. Antony sailed out to meet it,and the two met just west of Greece in the battle of Actium. Antony was defeated,and met up with Cleopatra. Then they killed themselves so they couldn't be taken prisoner. After a few years Octavian took the title of princeps or first citizen.
