Description:
Using the cannons received from Fort Ticonderoga, Washington sent them and his troops to Dorchester Heights, an area near one of the British fortifications near Boston. Upon daybreak, the British noticed the cannons and immediately surrendered, as they had been caught in a compromising situation. The British were forced to abandon the city, with 9000 troops and 2000 loyalists sailing away.
