Hi Brandon. I hope all is well. Things are good so far at Hoover and I am enjoying the nicer weather. My learning has been a bit slow though so I was hoping you might be able to answer some questions regarding the SCADA system. 

1. Alarming
Are discrete registers in the PLC used to fire off alarms in the Magelis screens as well as iFix? Or are discrete registers used solely to fire off alarms in the Magelis Screens while alarms are done in iFix? 

2. Scaling
Is the scaling of analog values performed in the PLC or iFix and the Magelis Screens? It looked like iFix was doing the scaling. 

3. Mark Cook mentioned that he had reserved certain groups of registers as spares for adding additional I/O points. Would you be able to clarify, which addresses these would be and if it is different depending on the type of PLC such as GCC, TMC, UCC, etc? 

4.  Was there a specific place that you saved back ups of PLC and iFix projects? 

5. I was curious on how to push changes made in iFix. I know that there is a computer in the corner of the control room that is the developer. I know you can make changes and test them out without causing the operators' application to be changed. After you have tested your changes how would you push the changes to the operators' iFix application.
