oct 7, 1765 - The Stamp Act Congress
Description:
For this meeting, most colonies sent their delegates to NYC to discuss the Stamp Act. There, they passed resolutions denying Parliament the right to tax
colonists due to no representation for the taxation. However, they agreed the Parliament should have the right pass laws regarding colonial commerce. This helped to diffuse radical protests.
