Sometime in 1874, the Greenback Party is founded. They advocated for paper money, and in 1884 expanded their ideology to include an income tax, an 8-hour work day, and women's suffrage. The party did not find too much support, but had significant present in several counties in mining areas. The party never had a president elected, and dissolved by 1889.
