Description:
After he landed in Mexico, Hernando Cortes heard about the large and wealthy Aztec Empire. He decided that he wanted that wealth and to gain power. So in the spring of 1520, some of Cortes’s men killed a few Aztec warriors. This caused rebellions and uproars, that Cortes’s men could fight off. Cortes had conquered the Aztecs by 1521 even though he was greatly outnumbered.
