jan 1, 1793 - Louis XVI is executed.

Description:

Revolutionaries execute Louis XVI.

The revolutionaries enter a new era of paranoia. On April 6, 1793, the National Convention created the Committee of Public Safety. It was supposed to support the war effort but it went further than that. Robespierre had those who weren't fully on board with the revolution executed or arrested.

In response, commoners have a new sense of purpose.
