The Sea Peoples were naval raiders who attacked many towns and cities in the Mediterranean, especially Egypt. Their attacks on Egypt lasted from 1279-1155 BC- or at least, the documented attacks by pharaohs Ramesses II, Merenptah, and Ramesses III. Ramesses III defeats them at the shore of Xois, but the cost greatly affects Egypt, leading to strikes and conflict.
