jul 5, 1943 - The Battle of Kursk Germany’s last chance to fight back and regain control of the Eastern front of the war. They had an elaborate plan with artillery, heavy tanks, and air forces but when the attack got postponed, it gave the Soviets time to prepare for the attack. Both sides experienced heavy casualties but in the end the Soviets’ Red Army came out on top.
