Description:
The attack on pairs was a major fight between the Frankish empire and the vikings. The french were dying quickly and the vikings were prevailing. In the end the Frankish empire king wanted the massacre to stop. So he paid the viking leader 5670 pounds worth of silver and gold. The vikings during this fight probably all had shields and more advanced weapons and probably better long ships which is a result of the technology getting better. After the massacre the Frankish started trading with the vikings and supplying the vikings with more swords and weapons. they also started to implement the pattern welding strategy
