mar 18, 2014 - Socio-Emotional Development I decide to take more risk at this age. The TED talk that goes into detail about the adolescent brain brings the idea of the Limbic system. The Limbic system is described as finding joy from taking risk. During the period of adolescence, the Limbic System is hypersensitive to risk taking. This is the primary catalyst for doing more wild events as a teenager. I almost jumped out of a speeding car. Don't ask why.
