may 11, 1894 - Pullman Strike

Description:

ON May 11, 1894, workers at the Pullman Palace Car Company went on strike. They did this because they were facing 12 hour work days and wage cuts resulting from the depressed economy. This ended when President Grover Cleveland sent federal troops on July 6, 1894 to stop the strike.
