Description:
Congress passed the Flag Resolution, which declares that the US flag was to be composed of 13 stripes alternating red and white, with 13 white stars on a blue background. It was nicknamed the Betsy Ross flag, though there is no evidence indicating that it was Betsy Ross who designed it.
