Description:
In order to put down violent resistance to the Townshend Acts, Britain sent troops to Boston because this is where they feared a rebellion was happening. On the night of March 5th, 1770, a small but unruly crowd threatened the group of British soldiers. This resulted in the soldiers opening fire on the crowd which left 5 colonists dead.
