Description:
Brown v. Board of Education of Topeka was decided by the U.S. Supreme Court when it was found that segregation by race in public schools to be in violation of the 14th amendment; hence, it was ruled unconstitutional. This 1954 decision ended the separate but equal ruling in Plessy v. Ferguson.
