feb 1, 1960 - Lunch counter sit-ins
Description:
Four African-American college students in North Carolina aimed to end segregation in food halls. Their plan was to sit at the whites only counter and leave when they were served. This even sparks many sit-ins across many other food halls and eventually leads to the abolishment of food hall segregation.
