dec 15, 1763 - french and indian war

Description:

The French and Indian War was a war between France and Britain, spanning seven years. It was caused by France's expansion into the Ohio River valley, which caused conflict with Britain's claimed colonies. Since Britain was left in debt after the war, it enacted new laws and taxes in the colonies. This angered the colonists not only because they now had to pay higher taxes, but also because citizens of Britain were not being afflicted with those same laws and taxes. Which leaded to the protests to the sugar act and stamp act.
