jan 6, 1914 - Komagata Maru Incident The Canadian government wouldn't allow immigrants from India unless they came from India to Canada with no stops, which at the time, was impossible because no shipping line offered that service. The Japanese ship called the Komagata Maru was forced to return, after 2 months, to harbour.
