Description:

Detroit Public schools is the latest institution to close it's doors to the recession. The money that would otherwise help keep the schools open is instead being used to keep the U of M open. For an entire year, Detroit area kids have no school. This particular incident gains widespread notice in the news, and people, including teachers start protesting. Some schools even fly their American flags upside down out of protest.
