nov 16, 1752 - British Crown & Mi'kmaq people: Peace and Friendship Treaty (1752)

Description:

"Prior to the 1752 Peace and Friendship Treaty between the British Crown and the Mi'kmaq people, the British waged ongoing military assaults on the Mi'kmaq people of the Atlantic Coast. As well, they traded blankets infected with disease and introduced a scalping policy that spanned decades (Lawrence 2005: 35)."
