aug 19, 1764 - Tea/Stamp/Sugar This act was when the Brits wanted to tax us for tea and other goods the colonist couldn't make/get themselves. At first, the tea was given merchants that sold it to the colonist but Britain disided to cut out the middleman. They cut out the middle man so that they wouldn't have to lose more money and distribute it themself.
